Because Minnesota music is vital to The Current and our fair state, we created Local Current, a one-stop hub of all-Minnesota music. WTMD also showcases a lot of Baltimore local bands through programs on their shows and concerts that they sponsor in the local area. The Community Arts Music Association offers two series of classical concerts, the International Series at the Granada Theatre and the Masterseries at the Lobero.

High end clubs and bars that once scoffed at the idea of playing local music are now seeing certain benefits of playing these in-demand songs. The HAAM benefit day every October mobilizes musicians, local businesses and city officials to raise money for the organization.
